‘Feminism’ means that a woman wants to be a strong individual with equal rights and freedom as enjoyed by the men. They deserve the same space and respect as owned by the men of the society, but does that mean it should be misused? Women of the society demand certain rights which they deserve in the name of feminism. Through it, they try and hold a position in the society which they deserve.
But somehow ‘feminism’ is misunderstood by the people. The demand is not only for the rights but equal support from all the sections of the society, but alas! Women fail to gather such support. Women in society are continued to be brought down, surprisingly the reason is not the men alone but other women too. Society is full of fake feminists who exist just to boast around. These fake feminists misinterpret ‘feminism’ for their own vested interest.
Several myths adjoin with feminism and they are people’s imagination. People believe that feminists hate men. People (especially men) title them as misandrist. They have this misconception already settled in their minds which enables them to differentiate between the Real and Fake. But one thing that should be cleared is that feminist is not a person who hates man but a person who believes that everyone should acquire an equal position in the society regardless of gender. It calls for a change from every aspect of society. There is no hatred for anyone. But people misuse it, in the name of feminist women blame man for the oppressive behavior just to get their problems solved and their greed served. One can find n number of fake rape cases filed by women for their own vested interest. In the urge of demanding equal rights from men, people have forgotten that men and women together form a society. Why all the expectations have led upon the shoulders of a man? When women are being brought down by other women only? Women are involved in crimes against women such as trafficking, child marriage, prostitution, etc. these heinous crimes exist because certain women are interested in lowering down others.
Feminism has become a political agenda. The so-called feminists misinterpret feminism for commercial and monetary gains. The movement is not for the popularity but an urge for a change, which is at times is not perceived by the people in a correct way. Equal rights for all does not mean exploitation of other section of the society. It is neither a bad word nor an ‘anti-man’, it is a fight for equality. The struggle is to convince the people to fir their support which is vital for the growth and safety of women. Let the feminism not be defamed by this kind of idea and misinterpretation.
‘#Metoo’, a movement started in favor of women so that they could speak about sexual abuse but it was also flooded with so many fake incidents whose only motive was fame. Who are they? Fake feminists. These are the people who destroy the entire concept and close all the ways towards the welfare of the women. A viral video of the Indian actress Neha Dhupia once again threw light on the concept of feminism prevailing. The idea is to call for support for the welfare rather than individual interest. One should not fall for fake feminism rather come forward to alter such dismal thoughts and support every woman in action.
